Badawy Femto Spatulas
Description
Dr. Tarek Badawy of Cairo, Egypt has designed a set of bimanual splitters to complete the division of a nucleus fragmented by a femtosecond laser. The very thin 80° offset paddles on these instruments easily slip into the femto-created grooves and can be used through opposing incisions. The spatulas can be used together for even countertension, which is important in cases with distressed zonules. Each can also be used individually in conjunction with the phaco probe to complet the nucleus division. Dr. Badawy states that these splitters are ideal for use in all femto cases and are equally effective for soft or hard nuclei.
